You really think they would change that over the night and cut off the majority of their fan base ? Simple answer is no.īethesda used to deliver huge open world games with huge open gameplay and so much stuff to do you could in theory never finish the games.
But the Fallout series along with TES series has a very huge fan base, ever since the series turned into 3D from 2D they have had the option for open modding. Im not sure if Fallout 4 was your first game in the series or not. They may love making games, but they also make games to pay their morgage and feed their kids. As games begin to cost more to make, they need to make more money to keep making games.
They can't make more games if they don't make money. if it's greed, why didn't they stop free mods on the Nexus? Why do they still offer free mods on their very own site, Bethesnet? Why doesn't Bethesda charge money for the creation kit? Why did they give us a free texture pack (i can't use it, but still) and the free Survival mode for Fallout?įaulting a company for trying to make more money is really rather stupid.
